TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

1. Retention of Services

By signing this Agreement or submitting a service request, the Client retains the Agency to conduct investigative services as specified in the Scope of Work. The Agency will perform all tasks according to general industry protocols.

2. Retainer and Fees

      • Advance Payment: All investigative services require a retainer paid in advance to secure the Agency’s availability and cover preliminary expenses.

      • Non-Refundable Retainer: The initial retainer is non-refundable. This fee compensates the Agency for the initial consultation, case assessment, and the reservation of investigative resources that could have been allocated to other clients.

      • Hourly Rates & Expenses: Services beyond the initial retainer are billed at an agreed-upon hourly rate plus expenses (e.g., mileage, tolls, database fees).

    3. Client Confidentiality

        • Non-Disclosure: The Agency shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding the Client’s identity and all findings of the investigation.

        • Legal Mandates: Information will only be disclosed if required by a court order, subpoena, or mandatory reporting law.

        • Employee Access: Only registered employees who have undergone background checks through the Connecticut Department of Public Safety will have access to case information.

      4. Data and Credit Card Security

          • Information Security: The Agency implements robust safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorized access or theft.

          • Payment Security: All credit card transactions are processed through secure, encrypted channels. The Agency does not store full credit card numbers on its local servers to ensure maximum security for Client financial data.

        5. Financing Options

            • Qualified Clients: The Agency may offer financing or payment plans to qualified Clients based on a credit assessment and the nature of the case. Financing terms, including interest rates and repayment schedules, will be provided in a separate written agreement.

          6. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

              • Binding Arbitration: Any disputes arising from this Agreement that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the State of Connecticut.

              • Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.

            7. Client Cooperation

            The Client agrees to be honest and provide all known information relevant to the case. Failure to cooperate or providing false information may result in the immediate termination of services without a refund of the retainer.

            8. Records Retention

            In accordance with Regs. Conn. State Agencies § 29-161-4, the Agency shall maintain business records, including contracts and investigative reports, for a period of not less than three (3) years.
